After you used the font selection, however, it starts always at the top, showing the most recently selected fonts and then continues with A-Z listing. This is an artifact of having 2 lists in one list control: You need to add the recently used somewhere, and you do it where the list usually opens, at A, so they are visible. The clean solution would be to offer controls that actually allow the user to control different ways of accessing fonts – Affinity Photo, for example, has selectors on top of the list to toggle between All (A-Z), Recently used, and Favorites.
