--- Comment #2 from LG <[email protected]> --- Finally, I was able to reproduce the problem by opening the document file with the external links updated while the spreadsheet was open in Calc. I then modified a cell from within Calc and saved the spreadsheet... I had to try opening the sheet from the document... then save the document... it was now corrupted... By repeating the procedure to generate a test suite and being more precise in my operations, I realized that it worked again (that is, I can open the document and the spreadsheet separately)...
