Otherwise scope of LibreOffice is much broader than the limited German and English support that selnolig provides to LaTex shaping. And since Unicode CLDR does not address such typographic requirements, rules for the handling of ligature or dipthongs, beyond font OpenType internals, would require LibreOffice localization team implementation/maintenance of those rules.
