--- Comment #28 from MacAhi <[email protected]> --- Please revert this bug (yes, I consider it a bug). I upgraded recently from 7.3 and this breaks critical functionality. I have 4 cascading dropdowns. The first two are locked in. The user can only choose from the defined lists. If an additional Category or Subcategory are needed, they have to be added to the lists. The next two fields are for Item and Vendor. There are many predefined items, each of which can come from one or more predefined Vendors, BUT there are times when there are one-off items and / or one-off vendors. They need to be able to be added to the fields without interference. The dropdown lists for all of the existing Items and Vendors enforce consistency, while allowing users to enter the one offs allows for the flexibility which is needed. I honestly can't understand why this functionality would be taken away from the designers. It worked perfectly fine as it was, giving designers the flexibility where we decided it needed to be. Why restrict that? Please fix this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
