I am using LO since years, wrote more than 19 books.
But with the last books I am having great trouble because of lacking
performance opening and saving files. Its no pleasure at all using LO at the
moment. Its really frustrating and I do not know at the moment how to get rid
of those performance problems.
When I open the text and just do some little changings LO starts saving the
file, which is only 969kB. There are only 3 pictures included in an extra
folder with a total size of 271kB.
Its not at all clear for me why I have to wait many many times a day about 40s
each time saving this file. Also opening takes about 40s.
What is the reason for this? I also had trouble with similar files. Storing
time is extremely long when just one character has been changed. This is not at
all acceptable for me.
Its also not a good idea in my opinion now wanting me to use a global document
for this file being less in size than 1 MB !
System is Win 7 64bit 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM. I feel that performance had been better
in a previous version. So whats wrong here? I really hope for a solution as
soon as possible. Attached you will find the original document which I would
prefer not to be circulated.
