We could play with the size and 'intrusiveness' of the note. * A dialog coming up, which the user would need to dismiss, e.g. "Print with Table of Contents is out of date?" and buttons for [Yes] and [No]. With this option, we could add a third button, and have [Print as is] [Update & Print] [Cancel] . The details could be a little different, we can bikeshed the exact text and button names. I can live with both options; I'm not sure which is better.
