V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC| |[email protected] Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Summary|PDF |PDF open into a Writer ODF | |Text Document --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> --- Feature already exists. In your os/DE with LibreOffice running, when "opening" a PDF use the document type filter listbox. There, instead of default 'All Files (*.*)' which will send to the Draw module, select the filter from the 'ODF Text Documents' types. You're looking for 'PDF - Portable Document Format (Writer) (*.pdf)'; will be localized IIANM. The PDF filter import will output to a Writer canvas rather than a Draw page. But, the filter still may not give you the ability to extract the text strings as you'd like. PDF is not intended to be an editable document format rather it is a presentation/publishing format so its internals structures do not support lexically correct syntax when filter imported. YMMV as to utility of the provided filter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
