--- Comment #102 from Michael Weghorn <[email protected]> --- (In reply to danileon95 from comment #101) > **The program does not work and cannot be used for an increasingly large > amount of users, by default, with no obvious way to make it usable unless > they are advanced users and dig around**. I really think you should make > LibreOffice default to xWayland until this is resolved (assuming you care > about the program being usable, that is) As mentioned earlier, the experience seems to differ for different users (it's not unusable for me). If qt6/kf6 on Wayland is considered "not good enough", I think the better solution/workaround would be to default to gtk3 instead, which is still the most mature VCL plugin on Linux. (There are different levels to control that: What LO's internal logic defaults to, what VCL plugins distros package, which ones users install, environment variables,...) But I think any such discussion/decision should happen in its own bug report as it doesn't contribute to directly analyzing/solving the issue that this report here is about. Please feel free to create a separate bug report to not use qt6 with the Qt wayland QPA plugin if you think that shouldn't be the case. Then, alternatives can be discussed in that ticket, and also whether qt6/kf6 is considered "good enough" on X11/XWayland, or gtk3 should be used everywhere by default,... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
