Bug ID: 168855
Summary: User interface selector has an incorrectly scaled text
box at 125% DPI scaling leading to difficult to read
text
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When using 125% scaling in KDE Wayland, the user interface selection menu (both
the first-time one and the one you bring up manually) shows an improperly
scaled text box that requires both vertical and horizontal scrolling in order
to be able to read it.
Since I saw this when opening Writer, I'm opening the issue under the Writer
component. Please move it if this is wrong.
I will attach a screenshot.
PD: I also want to add that the first-time prompt has a bit of a
counter-intuitive design. If you keep clicking "next" on the prompt as you
review and select your options, the "next" button turns into "quit" at the end,
which does *not* save your changes. So the typical "next, next, done" flow ends
with all the choices you've made being discarded which will confuse new users.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have 125% DPI scaling
2.Open the UI selector
Actual Results:
Text box is improperly scaled, so the text doesn't fit
Expected Results:
The text should fit
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
