Yes, the first two problems are connected to the new developments, with upcoming fixes in the next couple of weeks. The consecutive hyphen problem is an interesting catch, and not related to my developments: there is only a single hyphen inserted by automatic hyphenation, because the “dead-end” contains a hyphen already. Otherwise it would be fine to add that, too, to the consecutive hyphenated line limit. There is a strong requirement to break the words at that hyphen, because most of these compound words are very long typically. So I can imagine, that this is a conscious exception of the rule.
