Bug ID: 168049
Summary: Feature Request: Add option for leap year month
options on Jewish calendar formatting
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.0.4 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I would like to ask for an addition of formatting of dates in Calc to create a
more proper Jewish date. On leap years, there is a month that is added to the
Jewish Calendar called Adar I or אדר א and the already existing Adar month is
called Adar II or אדר ב. It would be amazing to have an option to format dates
that would take it into account. I think this can be considered as quite
important for this calendar since the months change in these years.
Right now, it is important to mention, it considers the two months as simply
Adar. No differentiation.
So, my request is to add the months אדר א and אדר ב on leap years in the Jewish
calendar.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type 07/02/2011 (07 February 2011. I don't know what type of formatting you
have)
2. Change format to [~jewish]DD MMMM
3. It supposed to be Adar I אדר א, but it simply says Adar.
Actual Results:
ב׳ באדר
Expected Results:
ב׳ אדר א
Reproducible: Always
