Bug ID: 167947
Summary: While in rotation mode, selecting a different object
causes a different rotation mode
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.7.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
While in rotation mode, selecting a different object causes a different
rotation mode.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new Calc.
2. Insert two Shapes (ex. Rectangle).
3. Set one of the shapes to rotation mode.
4. Select another shape.
Actual Results:
5. Another shape is selected in rotation mode.
Expected Results:
5. The shape is selected in Resize / Move mode.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This has been around for a long time, and developers will tell you it's not a
bug.
But it runs counter to the recent practice of trying to unify UX in everything.
In Draw and Impress, it starts in resize / move mode when another object is
selected.
In Draw and Impress, Ctrl + Click is used to access a special rotation mode.
