            Bug ID: 167436
Summary: One or multiple stuck, non-blinking insertion point
                    cursors
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.4.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Even after unistalling LibreOffice, then restarting my computer, and then
reinstalling it, the problem persists. I never had this problem before, until
the last update. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be incredibly
frustrating.

1) When writing in a document in LibreOffice writer, and then clicking on,
e.g., this textbox, the insertion point cursor stays active in the document,
and hence doesn't disappear, though it stops blinking. When I then return back
to the document, the fact that the insertion point cursor is still there makes
it seem as if you already have clicked on it again and can begin to write, only
to be frustrated by the fact that I'm actually still writing in this textbox.

2) When writing a sentence on line 1 and then entering, the insertion point
cursor moves to line 2. When you then press arrow up to go back to line one,
there is still one non-blinking insertion point cursor at the end of line 2,
and one blinking insertion point cursor on line 1.

3) When writing a sentence on line 1 and then entering, the insertion point
cursor moves to line 2. When you then click at the end of the sentence of line
1 to go back to line 1, there is one non-blinking insertion point cursor at the
end of line 2, and one either blinking or non-blinking insertion point cursor
on line 1.

4) The same scenario as 3, but then clicking within the sentence of either line
1 or 2, there will be a non-blinking insertion point at the end of line 2, a
non-blinking insertion point cursor at the end of line 1, and a blinking
insertion point cursor within one of those two lines.
