--- Comment #29 from kulath <[email protected]> ---
While respecting the arguments discussed in this bug, I would like to plead for
this to be fixed.

@raal This is not really a duplicate of Bug 167322

(1) This bug is specifically about Hypertext, whereas Bug 167322 is about
Fields. (1a)it is not obvious to readers or reviewers of this bug that it
includes Fields.
(1b) It is not obvious to readers or reviewers of this bug that hypertext is
regarded as a Field (if indeed it is so regarded).
(1c) in view of this, if this is to be the lead bug then its title should be
changed to something like "Text-Wrapping does not wrap long fields (including
hyperlinks and other fields) resulting in cutoff text.

(2) This bug is about wrapping in Calc cells, but Bug 167322 also points out
that the same bug applies in Calc headers and footers. This is not currently
covered in this bug.

Other points

(3) If more text is placed before or after the Field or Hyperlink, then that
text IS wrapped, which makes the non-wrapping even more anomalous and I suggest
should be treated as a bug.

(4) This behaviour is out of line with writer, where Hyperlinks do wrap. So if
you copy some cells from Calc and paste them into Writer, the formatting is
different.

(5) This behaviour is out of line with MS Excel.

(6) I don't understand the argument that "this isn't clearly an issue. I would
assume the behavior was originally intended," I don't think there are other
places where data is silently not rendered in this way.

(7) I do understand the argument that "a change might even break some sheets by
unneeded increases to rowheights", but I think that the possibility of breaking
some sheets is the lesser of two evils, especially because wrapping works for
text before and after a Field or Hyperlink and also because this is a bug in
headers and footers, where there is likely to be less of an issue with breaking
some sheets.
