Start with a clean profile (or in Safe mode) and retest. I.e. no theme customizations, no themes, no config left from earlier builds. Then if you still don't like the Win os/DE 'Dark' color theme results of a dark document canvas with light foreground text, you should install the 25.2 appropriate 'Light Application Theme' extension via the Tools -> Options -> Appearance panel. Look for the "Add more themes" button to launch a mini dialog.
