The preset line widths in the side bar are all in pts (would be great to have a switch to metric or to auto switch to metric based on the units configuration). - Under the preset widths there is a text box in which you can enter a custom value (good). Here the unit is again preconfigured to be points, but apparently you can enter a different measurement unit. For instance, you can enter "1 mm" and that is accepted. The problem here are the usual rounding errors. If you write "1 mm" and you later check the line width with the line properties dialog, the width is 0.99 mm.
