            Bug ID: 166224
Summary: PDF export in LibreOffice 25.2.2.2 does not default to
                    the original file's folder
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Printing and PDF export
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
The PDF export feature in LibreOffice 25.2.2.2 on LMDE 6 Faye no longer
defaults to the folder of the original file, unlike previous versions. This
regression forces users to manually navigate to the desired folder, reducing
workflow efficiency.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a LibreOffice application (e.g., Writer).
2.Create a document and save it in a specific folder (e.g.,
`/home/user/Documents/myfile.odt`).
3.Go to **File > Export As > Export as PDF**.
4.Observe the folder suggested in the save dialog.

Actual Results:
- The save dialog opens in a different folder (e.g., the system's default
folder, such as `/home/user/Downloads`, or the last used folder).
- The user must manually navigate to the original file's folder, slowing down
the workflow.
- The suggested name is correct (e.g., `myfile.pdf`), but the incorrect folder
reduces usability.

Expected Results:
- The save dialog should default to the same folder as the original file (e.g.,
`/home/user/Documents`).
- The suggested name should match the original file's name with a `.pdf`
extension (e.g., `myfile.pdf`).
- The user should have the option to change the folder or name if desired.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
- **LibreOffice Version**: 25.2.2.2
- **Operating System**: LMDE 6 (Faye)
- **Kernel**: Linux 6.1.0-33-amd64
- **Architecture**: x86-64
- **Hardware**: SLIMBOOK HERO-RPL-RTX
- **Firmware**: N.1.03GOS03
- **Graphical Environment**: GTK3 (Cinnamon)
- **Interface Language**: Spanish (es-ES)
- **Command used to start**: `libreoffice`
- **Additional Configuration**: Standard LMDE 6 Faye interface with Cinnamon.
- This is a regression from previous versions (e.g., 7.x or 24.x) where the
original file's folder was the default.
- No apparent setting in LibreOffice preferences restores this behavior.
- The issue affects productivity, especially for users working with multiple
documents in specific folders.
- I do not recall the exact version where PDF export worked correctly, but the
behavior changed in 25.2.2.2.
- **Screenshots** (optional): [Include a screenshot if possible, showing the
PDF export save dialog with an incorrect folder.]
