            Bug ID: 166021
Summary: Improvement : Remove files from "last used documents"
                    list when they are deleted
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.5.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I often open with calc temporary files received from internet sites. These
files are used only once and are immediately deleted, but they remain in the
"last used documents" list, then limiting the number of permanent files that
can be retrieved with this list and making it much less useful.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a temporary file in calc (could be in any component)
2.Close the calc session
3.Delete the temporary file

Actual Results:
The deleted file name remains in the "Last used documents" list, limiting room
for useful documents.

Expected Results:
The deleted file name should be removed from the "Last used documents" list, or
there should be a way to remove it.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It would be nice to have an option allowing to remove from the "Last used
documents" list the files that do not exist anymore, either as an option of the
"empty list" action, or as a new action in the menu.
It could also be done automatically, validated by a check mark in the Options
menu.
Other ways could be an "Edit open list" function in the menu, or an "Exclude
from open list" option in the Options menu, with a list of filters (temporary
files often have a common prefix).
Thanks for considering this improvement.
