I am an ICT teacher so need to do a lot of step by step guides for students so
I often need to insert a new page within a document but keep all images in
their relevant position to text boxes.
Current if you enter return numerous times then you can insert a new page but
it moves all the text down first and then finally the images. This results in
just a mish-mash of text boxes and images. To undo the damage but still needing
a new page is exceedingly tiresome. No problem in MS Word.
I know that I can anchor images but to characters, etc but when you edit text,
e.g. when there is a software update trying to edit a document becomes a
disaster zone resulting in hours of replacing everything or recreating a new
document at great time expense.
I know I can put the images into the drawing package of LibreOffice so that I
can group them and move them back to Writer buy again this is a hugely time
consuming process. Request the ability of being able to group all types of
objects, not just text boxes in Writer.
