I'm not sure what you want to know about my workflow. Again, I have a master diary with entries for research, our NPO, bills, various projects. I try to put in unique tags so that I can search easily, but it would be great if I could either sort by the date (master entry) or by category, and produce a series of sub-diaries, where I could see the back-&-forth of negotiations or problems. The same is true for the bibliographies. I have various bibliographies under sexual selection: Plants; Animals; Infanticide. Most of the time I want to work in just one, but sometimes I have reference works in one of the others.
