I did not experience the issue. But meanwhile I have uninstalled versions 7.6
and 24.2, currently I use

Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 8eee7eab8087590aa19bb9989c294e9be767f356
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

for my work.

I am running a machine (only) with Xubuntu 22.04. I have not yet installed a
stable LibreOffice fresh ppa as advised in comment 6.

I don't know what you mean by Ubuntu's about dialog. Xubuntu is said to be
somewhat in the middle of wayland and X11:

$ echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
x11
$ dpkg -l | grep wayland
