Will the date be extended?

I noticed that the Wikimedia and Libraries User Group is electing its steering committee. Nominations opened on May 5 and will close on May 25 (this Sunday).
Recently, the user group organized the Wikimedia + Libraries International Convention 2025 with Wikimedia Mexico and COLMEX.
Please consider nominating yourself, or encouraging others to consider this important role.
