Nevertheless, I must admit that I am a little disappointed by your answer. I've understood that FFmpeg should do the job but I need a vendor's API (NVIDIA for me) + my own rendering routine.... a lot of work. I thought that would be fully integrated in FFmpeg. I will investigate MythTV and Mplayer : I have already done a successfull test with Mplayer (from 50% CPU to 4%). What I want to do now is to understand how they implement graphic card acceleration in those apps.
