Now that the new system has booted and is somewhat usable (built as
far as firefox), I have to admit that the testsuite does not work.

Trying first as my own normal user,

not allowed to execute /usr/bin/unshare -n tests/bridge/vlan/tunnelshow.t' as 
root on plexi.

That PASSed on failure

not allowed to execute '/bin/dmesg' as root on plexi.
make[1]: *** [Makefile:68: bridge/vlan/tunnelshow.t] Error 1
make: *** [Makefile:110: check] Error 2


Retrying as user root:

every test errors with   unshare: unshare failed: Invalid argument
but then reports PASS
