DJ, your patch broke the coreutils build in the LFS environment. It has
one chunk:
--- coreutils-8.25-orig/configure.ac 2016-01-01 07:48:50.000000000
-0600
+++ coreutils-8.25/configure.ac 2016-01-22 21:23:04.634308804 -0600
And now there are two other hunks: src/local.mk and tests/local.mk.
Grr, it was there in the logs, I just didn't catch it because it was in
the check log (doesn't run until make root-tests). I don't see where
where
this could be necessary if the check is already there.
The problem now is that removing the local.mk hunks in the patch file
leads to a build error. I've just started a full rebuild using the
original patch and moving coreutils to after automake.
I see. We already had that order change covered in -systemd as a result
of the domino effect of procps->systemd dependency, but I wonder if it
wouldn't be better to force it beforehand with an autoreconf (upstream
AC and AM versions are the same and no libtoolize). I didn't test this,
just a suggestion. I'll have my real LFS laptop available tomorrow and
will do so.
