On the other hand, being of the educative-objective brigade, there's no harm in showing a fully worked example. That's how I always view SysVinit and the bootscripts in LFS. Maybe using Pacman as the example would be better that RPM, given many people's (inexplicable, IMO) antipathy to RedHat.
