We are having a problem with a particular domain that's getting
rejected because part of the domain name is identified with the word
in the Mailer Daemon Strings file. See the excerpt:
07/18 09:18:00 [104] - smtp recv: receiving mail from:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
07/18 09:18:00 [104] - smtp recv: receiving mail to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
07/18 09:18:00 [104] - smtp recv: receiving mail 531 bytes
07/18 09:18:00 [104] - smtp recv: connection closed
07/18 09:18:01 [103] - processing: message from
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> rejected - received from mailer
daemon (From Matches OWNER)
I deleted the FROM: OWNER line from the Mailer Daemon Strings file,
saved the file, and restarted the server, but the subscribe message
still got rejected. I deleted all info from the file, and it's just a
blank document now (I saved a copy of it before deleting), but am
still getting the rejection message that it matches the Mailer Daemon
Strings file's line. But the file is blank!
I noticed some time before this incident that any changes made in
this file do not stick, meaning that the file is getting changed and
re-saved, yet LetterRip still rejects messages. It seems as if
LetterRip looks at some "old" Mailer Daemon Strings file, that does
not exist (?), and rejects messages based on matching them to that
"old" file.
Can anybody shed any light on what's happening with the Mailer Daemon
Strings file?
We are on 4.09 release on OS X.
Thanks!
