Yes in this case you have to create a new profile.

 In general... there is no Nikon SLR with a crop factor bigger than
1.5. So ALL Nikon lenses in the database should have crop factor 1.0
or 1.5. Otherwise please tell us ;)

 Lenses from Sigma and Tamron are often also available for Nikon,
Canon and other systems. In this case the profile was probably created
with a Canon SLR and crop 1.6. But as this profile does not take into
account the image borders of a crop 1.5 image from your camera you
cannot use it. In other words, with a crop 1.5 camera you can ONLY use
profiles created with a crop smaller or equal to 1.5.
