I believe that ledger can not read transaction data from standard input. For example, commands like these do not work:
ledger < datafile ledger -f - < datafile Would it make sense for this feature to be added to ledger? I am not yet a ledger user, but I am working on Emacs Org-mode support for ledger. In this context, submitting the data on standard input would be convenient (but by no means essential).
