On windows, XP, SP2, using latex2html 2008 version, I get the following when I set
$PK_GENERATION = 1 in the l2hconf.pm file

Why would you want this now?

That is an old option for when fonts used to be made up
of bitmaps. THat is out-dated technology now, by 10 years
or more.

Instead, modern TeX installations have scalable outline-based
fonts, in PostScript, TrueType or OpenType formats.
To use these LaTeX2HTML has a $SCALEABLE_FONTS variable, and
$DVIPS_OPTS (or similar name) to customise how your installation
finds which fonts to use.

latex2html -split 0 -no_subdir -local_icons -style="nma.css" index.tex $* is no longer supported at G:\LATEX\latex2html\bin/latex2html.bat line 10607. Illegal division by zero at G:\LATEX\latex2html\bin/latex2html.bat line 558.

The error goes away when restting $PK_GENERATION = 0

This is the env. I have

MikTex: Version 8.2 http://miktex.org/
Perl: Active Perl 5.1 build 1006. http://www.activestate.com/ activeperl/ netpbm for windows: Version 10.27. http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/ packages/netpbm.htm
gsview: version 4.9. http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/get49.htm
ghostcript. AFLP http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/doc/AFPL/index.htm
latex2html version 2008 http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/support/ latex2html/

Hope this helps,
