can you post a screenshot of the error message?
Maybe the entry has subentries? Not all LDAP servers allow move
operations for entries with children.

sometimes we use the LDAP tree to move objects. Since Version 7.8. drag and
drop is not working anymore and the cut/paste procedure results in unreadable
short error message in the ui. The paste is not performed.
Debug ist not showing an error.
It is a current Samba AD (Sernet) and the LAM user has Administrator
permissions.
Any idea?
