Julie,I haven't done any Hollie Point, but I like using Gutterman S303 100/3 silk for needlelace available at Jo Ann Fabrics.  A simple help in untwisting the thread is to hold your work upside down and let the needle spin until the twist is gone.Janice Janice Blair Murrieta, CA, www.jblace.comÂ
