Pretty sure Arachne was going when I joined in April of 1995 - I learnt about it from the esteemed Dr Boston, at an RMLG Bucks Point class given by Freda Stevenson and I was pregnant at the time with my DS, who turns 20 later this year (and Penny announced his birth on Arachne, and darned if I lost that email when my pc crashed years ago :-( ) There were about 20 members of Arachne that weekend, and I joined that weekend.
I just found my 2nd anniversary bobbin (looks to be Chris Parsons bobbin and painted), and it's dated 1997. So I think Arachne is about to turn 20.
