I am Dutch and I had to read it twice before understanding. I didn’t work the pattern, but as I understand it, you have to work the complete width until point A. From A to B you work first one half and than the other one. Coming together again you make a cloth stitch with both runners, place the pin and make another cloth stitch before going on over the complete width. At point C you take the pins from the beginning to a little bit further than C out and work the last part. Afterwards the short end slides through the opening between A and B.
