If you follow Brian's link to the Met Bobbins, once you get there, if you click on the bobbin image, it will take you to a little more information. For the inscribed bobbins, under "Signatures, Inscriptions, and Markings" it will list the words on the bobbins. Then you can refer to Brian's work to learn more about the bobbins.
