No, I took a class with someone but I don't think her name was Mary Shields. I have dreams of doing my own Carrickmacross Art Nouveau designs--the technique seems perfect to me for that style, but I'm so deep into bobbin lace that I may never surface again! Meanwhile, I'm planning to frame this one just so I can look at it. I'll also pictures of a fan that is less classic Art Nouveau but still very naturalistic.
