Dear Lacefriends,
shortly there was a discussion about Miß Channer by Anne Buck. Privat things
don’t let me follow it. But last week I started to rearrange my lace books
guess what I found - Aa little book with the title „In the cause of English
Lace“.
On page 13 it tells us that C. Channer went to India about 1900. There she
lived with her brother "in a series of forest bungalows“. A few lines later the
book says from 1905 she taught lacemaking at a school for home industries run
by the Scots Mission at Kalimpong.

Perhaps it is still from interest.
