What I learned at IOLI: Don't wait until Friday (as I did...) to find the freight elevator. It's usually conveniently located and almost always empty. When the elevators are over-worked (as they were in Denver and every other IOLI convention I've been to...) the hotel staff is usually happy to have you use them.
