Is there any chance that *some* select classes could be video taped for the OS lace makers who are not going to be attending

My guess would be - about the same as that of a snowball in the hot place downstairs :) In addition to all the very excellent reasons against it that Clay and Alice gave, how would you choose which classes to tape and which ones not to tape?

As several people have pointed out, there already *are* lots of videos on different lace techniques available. They've been produced in the best environment - least annoyance to the teacher, and no annoyance at all to the class participants.

So, look into buying/borrowing those - IOLI library, for example, has a separate video section, and the Oz guild might have one too. Alternatively... If Mahomet won't come to the mountain, perhaps the mountain can come to Mahomet; teachers have been known to travel and offer classes first hand :)
