(of course, select your language; if in the meantime the translation has
been completed by someone else, then you can download a test version and
check the translation; let us know in case and we will give you the
right links).
You can make suggestions right now, but I recommend that you ask for a
personal Pootle account: just answer this e-mail requesting one and
mentioning your language and your preferred username (this will allow
you to have more options available). Your contributions are under the
OpenOffice license, ALv2.
Before you start working, please read the "tips for translators" at
http://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html
(you are in the "online" case, with Pootle).
