You have been subscribed to a public bug by Rik Mills (rikmills): The addition of evolution-data-server to the dependencies of bluez-obexd (dependancy of bluedevil, which is a dependency of kubuntu-desktop) is causing gnome-keyring and pinentry-gnome3 to be preinstalled on Kubuntu.
The gnome-keyring user service provides the org.freedesktop.secret DBus interface, overriding KWallet. pinentry-gnome3 is a higher priority alternative to pinentry-qt for /usr/bin/pinentry and /usr/bin/pinentry-x11. Besides these packages being unnecessary in Plasma, this will absolutely impact upgrades. Apps currently storing secrets in KWallet through the secret service interface won't be able to find them after the upgrade. Change comes from Debian to address bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1123793. Bug report about the new behavior is at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1124744.
