I have experienced the same problem on two computers. Both new installs of Ubuntu Studio 22.04 KDE Plasma, one AMD Ryzen, the other Intel i5.
Scenario: Upon boot/reboot, login prompt appears briefly, then screen goes blank. Recovery: type Ctl-Alt-F2, login and issue "sudo systemctl restart sddm" Login can then proceed. Issue: requires "administrator" priveleges to start up a computer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to sddm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971596 Title: SDDM fails to start frequently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/1971596/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
