Since the main point is the request for additional columns in the ledger, I'm
closing as a duplicate of a much older request for this ability.
Persistence of the "tip of the day" might be due to the Windows version.
Different languages use the same code version, but just use different files
with translations of all the text strings used by the program. In any case,
I'd say be aware it might disappear in a future version, but I wouldn't call
it's presence a bug.
