There have been at least two requests, based on it using up too much of the screen.  One of them felt the tag field in the transaction form made the memo field too small.

One thing to remember is that people use this (and other) software in very different ways.

Hi all,

What is the reason a user would want to turn off tags?

Personally, that is one thing that keeps me using this application over something like GnuCash or MoneyDance etc...

I am just curious. I don't tag everything but the I do tag expenses that are bills and I do tag transactions that are related to a project with the project name(new patio for example).

thanks,

First, I assume this means to disable the feature at runtime, not
    at compile
    time.

Second, should this be expanded to allow disabling any feature
    where doing so
would save screen estate or simplify the UI, and not remove necessary
functionality?  I am just slightly concerned that someone will
    turn off some
feature, and then forget he did so and wonder why it's not working.
