Anyone who runs into this problem can either edit the xml file as you did, or unmap and remap the accounts. If you read the thread you quote, you can see the change was an unintentional side effect of changes to otherwise improve the code. I suspect if the problem it caused was recognized earlier, it might have been reversed, but at this point, I think it would be worse to change it back. While it would be nice for a file to be usable in both 4.8 and 5.0, I think the decision is to get everyone moved to 5.0 as soon as possible. I think we are finally getting close to releasing a 5.0 version for Windows, so that only leaves those Long Term Support versions of Linux Distributions which have not converted to KF5.

I have recently started testing KF5 (on Windows) and found that the online mapping for OFX disappears because the "provider" name changed from "KMyMoney OFX" to "ofximporter". If you edit your xml file in a text editor you can change the

     provider="KMyMoney OFX"
to
     provider="ofximport"

and KF5 will recognize the old mapping. But this will make the mapping stop working in 4.8.

I'll let the powers-that-be decide if this is a good thing.

Jeff.
