It refers to accounts of payees (external to KMyMoney) and making payments directly from within KMyMoney towards them. (Yes, that is possible using the HBCI protocol in Germany). It would be nice to have the name of the institution or some sort of identification together with IBAN/BIC entry to make it easier to distinguish between multiple accounts. For those of you who might not have seen this feature I attach a screenshot of the right pane of the payees view.
