Jack, I managed to copy my "production" DB to a "testing" copy and performed a
check for consistency. For whatever reason, it worked, and the output is
rather scary:

transaction 'T000000000000000013' post date.
* Transaction 'T000000000000000013' has a post date '01/01/09' before one of
the referenced account's opening date.
