Just while Thomas is elsewhere, and trying to clarify, if you select "Yearly Budgeted vs. Actual" and configure it, can you not now save that as a new report?

These usually have an account/category per row. Use the account/category tab to select/deselect any of them. Which (base-)report did you use and what are you trying to accomplish?
