Yes, I have kcalc installed and I have uninstall and reinstalled it. I can run
it from the shell as well. Should I UN-install and reinstall KmyMoney?

A few questions:
a) do you have kcalc (which is a separate application) installed on your system
and
b) can you start it from a shell?
In case you don't have it installed and want to use a different calculator,
please use the KMyMoney settings (bottom of general options tab) for a
different application.
