Having no French, I resorted to Google, which gave several alternatives for
"etablissements" but no bank. I suspect that it is what in KMyMoney is called
an institution, which, more or less, is a container for a group of accounts,
and Google gives Compte for account.
So, I suspect you have created institutions rather than accounts, which could
be banks, investment companies, etc., and which would be visible. So, try
creating a few stand-alone comptes, and then create an "etablissements" rather
than a bank, and a right click on it should give the option to create a new
compte within it.
The etablissement" could be a bank, with current/checking or savings accounts
within it.
